So how the hell do silt striders move? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 04:21 PM PDT Sorry if this is dumb but I've literally been wondering this for 15 years. We never see silt striders doing anything but standing there and quite fucking frankly they look slow as hell. Do they just walk people places? Doesn't sound very efficient to me [link] [comments]
Enchanting constant effect in Morrowind xbox Posted: 16 Oct 2020 04:16 PM PDT I have a 400 level soul gem, but it doesn't allow me to choose constant effect. Is this a bug? [link] [comments]
Anyone have a list of tainer merchants? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 02:15 PM PDT I've picked up a couple really valuable items that most merchants cant afford. Does anyone have a list or merchants that also provide training? I figured I'd just get them to train me up really high in a skill and then sell them the equipment to make my money back. Posted: 16 Oct 2020 05:31 PM PDT I played this on Xbox waaay back in the day but never completed the main story. I'm wanting to rectify that but tbh I'm not a fan of being on my own all the time and would at least like the option of having help so I installed Constance and Julan. Is this a mistake? Should I avoid them or do a fresh install? I'm kind of having second thoughts. I also have Morrowind comes alive, but tbh that feels a little more non-negotiable to me. From what little I've seen it adds a lot of atmosphere. Thanks for any help. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Oct 2020 11:29 AM PDT There is a post containing comprehensive guide to play pure mage in Morrowind. Unfortunately, it's deleted. I'd be glad if someone can provide the original text for the aforementioned guide. [link] [comments]
Is there a mod that adds alternative to the Thievs Guild? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 08:23 PM PDT As the title says, I'm looking for a native version of the Thieves Guild. The reason behind this is because I hate Imperials. I am aware of a Camonna Tong faction mod but it only accepts dunmer. Any answer would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Oct 2020 03:40 AM PDT Since it's guar day, I would like to apologise to all Guars and the 2 Guars I killed during a quest. I was compelled to kill you so that I can level up, complete the quest, and most importantly save my life. You 2 Guars were part of a part of my living. But these excuses do not pardon my atrocities. My living has become a living of disgrace since killing you 2 Guars . I apologise. Pls forgive me Guars. [link] [comments]
The Morrowind Diaries, Day 1: The journey begins! Posted: 16 Oct 2020 02:19 PM PDT (I recently decided to play Morrowind for the first time. When asking this subreddit how to play, I learned that many people here are older fans who have played many times. I was told some of you might like to see how a person experiences their first time playing it, so I decided to keep a journal and hopefully will make this a recurring series. Please no spoilers of any kind in the comments, aside from tips!) Day 1: I awoke to a mysterious dark elf asking me my name. I told him, and he told me the guards wanted to see me. I made my way off the ship floor, fully prepared to be executed but instead found myself being brought to meet an official. He told me the emperor himself ordered my release, and that I was in a strange land called Morrowind. I signed my papers as best I could with what little writing skills I picked up in imperial prison, and told him I was a skilled hunter who can also wield a longsword (will detail build somewhere if anyone is interested). I got took everything I could from around the building, accidentally stole some fancy rock, and lost all the loot I had collected. Oh well, easy come easy go. I decided to venture out into town with nothing but my rags, a knife and a ring I found. Some strange little man asked me about the ring and said it was his. I lied to him and decided to keep it for now. It appears to have some kind of weak magical healing energy, so I'll keep it until I have no use for it anymore. He can have it back after that if he wants. I asked around about what to do until I heard of a smuggler den, then went to investigate. I got attacked on sight. I was completely beaten to a pulp by a smuggler with a longsword and got a nasty cut to my shoulder and leg. I narrowly escaped with my life. I used the ring to heal myself before collapsing outside the cave. thankfully it healed me. I realized how dangerous these people were, and decided to gear up. I bought an old rusty saber and some chainmail armor forged in skyrim. My father was a soldier long ago, but he never told me if he fought in any wars. He only told me that he wanted me to know how to fight, and taught me how to use many kinds of sabres and longswords. This smuggler goon didn't have a chance now that it was a fair fight. I suited up, and went back for revenge. The goon was killed in seconds, but his mage friend saw me and attacked me. I beat him severely, and as he ran away I followed him until I discovered something sickening. I found a cage full of innocent people chained together, being used as slaves. I thought back to the mine manager back home in Hammerfell, and how he forced my father to work all day for next to nothing just to feed me and my mother. I remembered the day my father died in the mine collapse caused by the greed of de facto slavers like these ones, and my blood boiled. I gutted the trickster and wiped the place out. I set the slaves free, and it felt good. I knew the town would appreciate this. I decided to rest and sell what I had taken from the smugglers when I was attacked by 2 dark brotherhood assassins. I killed them, barely, and took their gear. Time to reap the rewards of my hard work. I was refused service at the local shop for having skooma and moon sugar in my pocket, which was interesting. Most merchants back home were never so legally inclined, and often paid a high price for these items. Considering how my last stint in jail was absolutely miserable, fitting into a town like this might be a step in the right direction. Its probably time to quit poaching. Nevertheless, I hid them away and grabbed them again later. Once I sold my spoils, I had enough to buy some imperial chain armor and some better swords. I also bought a chitin bow and some arrows as well. I decided to learn more, and found out that the little elf whose ring I found has been skipping out on paying... protection money? These people are a mafia of some sort? I left, a little disheartened at how corrupt the town seemed. Oh well, I suppose I'll have to get a little more well-acquainted with the world after 2 years in and out of imperial jail. I set out for an adventure, ready to see what this new land had to offer. (Character break) Okay so WOW this was fun. I never knew that much skyrim music was originally from this game. Also, the skooma thing? Nice touch, I really liked that. The combat is a little boring but I loved the feeling of adventuring and the feeling of permanence of my actions. The fact that the slaves have names makes me wonder if I might see one of them again, even though I know I likely won't. I absolutely loved the conversation system and the amount of information you can get from people is crazy. I can tell this is really gonna be fun. Let me know if you liked day one of this journal below. Tips are appreciated but again please no spoilers. At the time of writing I'm working on day two and I have learned a lot more already. I hope the first-person style wasn't too off-putting. See you guys next time! [link] [comments]
