Do you think that this game will live on forever? Posted: 30 Jul 2020 01:13 PM PDT It has been 18 years now and this sub still have 200-300 active members, not to mention all the other communities There are even people recreating the whole game in skyrim engine skywind Do you think that there will still be people talking or creating content about this game at the end of this decade? Playing as a Female Dunmer really attacks your self esteem in this game. Posted: 30 Jul 2020 05:24 AM PDT Like 90 percent of the time it feels like, when your character dies when you're a female Dunmer she cries out "STOOPID!!" Lady I know I goofed, you don't have to call me out for it. [link] [comments]
whats your biggest “oh shit” moment? Posted: 30 Jul 2020 08:30 PM PDT i got the thieves guild quest to take down those 2 commona tong guys at drens plantation. i got so excited and planned out this whole takedown of the guards and owners, then freedom of the slaves i pick a few guards off with throwing stars, run in with my newly acquired dai-katana and start mincing these slavers up. i found so much amazing loot, but it was really heavy so i figured id return to the Hlaalo manner ive been repurposing, put all my loot in mr. Hlaalo's corpse, head back and pick up the rest ... the bodies despawned. i kept saying to myself "if i had just put the god damn loot in a chest this wouldve been avoided" cursing myself for being so silly i didnt think theyd despawn. ive been using a corpse as endless storage since day 1. i had to put the game down for a bit that was like 400k in loot deleted from the game forever. ebony gear, swords, glass weaponry. im so sad whats your best "god damnit" moment playing? i need to know im not alone bc that was a bit of a sour experience to say the least. atleast i got the daedric dai-katana though [link] [comments]

all potions have yellow exclamation points Posted: 30 Jul 2020 05:50 PM PDT I recently migrated an install from an old pc - to a new one. and got everything working again. However, upon creating a new character. I get to the balmora alchemists shop - and all of the potions are huge yellow exclamation points. I went through the mod list and there doesn't appear to be anything with a potion element. I am curious how to rectify this issue :( [link] [comments]
Vivec arena despawned my daedric dai katana and glass armor Posted: 30 Jul 2020 09:52 AM PDT i fought the house redoran dude in the arena and left my glass armor and his dai katana to go sell sum shit off (since he had a fuckton of ebony armor) and when i went back everything was gone😭😭😭😭 i started to think maybe i left my stuff somewhere and forgot where but now im just starting to think i left it on his body and it despawned. does that sound like just some shitty luck in the arena or am i wrong and left my shit somewhere and just cant find it? not a huge deal cuz im still early game but annoying ash now i got glass boots and a dreugh curiass does not fit my daedric legs and arms at all am i just shit outta luck😭😭😭😭 [link] [comments]

Some questions about Dwemer language and lore Posted: 30 Jul 2020 03:32 PM PDT Hi. It's been over a decade since I played Morrowind and only got back into it recently. One of the first things I set out to do, because I enjoyed it the first time, was to explore the Dwemer ruins. This led to some (minor) observations about the ruins, and some doubts about Dwemer lore and language. Hopefuly someone can help me understand some things better: 1) Reading the "Chronicles of Nchuleft", it is stated that Lord Ihlendam was "buried in a place called "Leftunch". Could this be a typo? It's quite similar to "thunch", which would mean "(to) fear"; it's also been suggested Arkngthunch would be read as "Fear of Grace" yet, IIRC "th" is read as "and" ("grace" and "fear"). But the Arkngthunch-Sturdumz loading screen in ESO (which I do not play) brings up a quote from one Narsis Dren, where he says "I believe the name of this site translates as "Graveyard of Ghost Invaders". If this is canon, then "Arkngthunch" should be read as "Graveyard". But if it is "graveyard", what to make of the book's telling of Ihlendam meeting up with the Dwemer general Rkungthunch - whose name is extremely similar to Arkngthunch? In the Imperial Library site, I stumbled on a page about Aldmeri alphabets where it states "Certain Dwemer runes also symbolize constellations on the Orrery in Stros M'Kai". The "K" glyph is spelled "Rk", and it means "warrior". Could general Rkungthunch's name be comprised of Rk (Warrior) + Thunch (to fear, fearsome)? This would leave out "ung", though; but once again, the similarity with the Dwemer locale makes it seems he could be described as "graceful and fearsome warrior" (at least prior to ESO determing the composite to mean "graveyard"), or that somehow he has ties with Arkngthunch. 2) Also, as per that loading screen, are there actual cases of syllable inversion? I ask because "Leftunch" and "Nchuleft" are also remarkably similar and seem inverted (not as obvious as "Galom" in Galom Daeus being "Molag" in reverse, but still). 3) This also leads me to questioning the word "Nchuleft" or rather, the "Eft" suffix. "Nchur" means "symbol", "nchul" stands for fruit; on the other hand, "Eftardn" means "to set in" (or "to arrive") and "eftar" has been translated as "sets" (as in "to set something down" or "set something in a path"). "Nchu" itself is worked into several places (Nchuleft, Nchuleftingth, Nchurdamz) but "eft" is iffy. "Nchuleft" can't be translated as "fruit" alone; it would make more sense as "Planted", "Laid", "Resting" or "Standing Fruit" (following the "eft" meaning, at least). Same applies to Nchuleftingth: it can't just mean "New Fruit"; "Baring New Fruit", perhaps? 4) How does "Thumz" go from "culture" or "society" in Morrowind to "Central Pylon" in ESO? 5) Finally, are the ballistae in some Dwemer ruins meant to point at some specific place or thing, or was it just coincidence that they are often aiming at noteworthy places? If you position yourself as if aiming the ballistae and screenshot your place and angle in the map, drawing a straight line will reveal stuff like the ballista at Arkngthunch-Sturdumz pointing to Gnisis, which houses the Bethamez ruins. Posted: 30 Jul 2020 03:14 PM PDT Pretty much the title. I also wonder if I will be able to jump higher with feather effect. [link] [comments] |
