Posted: 10 Nov 2020 01:14 PM PST For context this is my first time playing this game and I have played Skyrim and Oblivion before Morrowind. I got this game for free last year for the elder scrolls 25th anniversary and never touched it. I thought I could never like such an old game after playing the newer games. How wrong I was I started playing this not too long and I'm already in love with this game. Its huge and I never feel bored just exploring the world and moving around. I loved that it does not hold your hand at all and you can kill anyone no matter there importance. I don't think I have read a book in the elder scrolls games. Yet here I am reading books to learn more about the history and lore of it all. I can just immerse myself in its world and I love that. [link] [comments]

Making a face retexture for dunmers Posted: 10 Nov 2020 08:11 AM PST Would anyone be interested in a full pack of Westly's dunmers (and likely other elves, as well as their bodies) redone this way? What do you think of it - does it feel truer to the ghoulish vanilla look, that I feel is lost both in MacKom's replacer and Westly's original textures? [link] [comments]
Why does morrowind feels kinda... depressing sometimes? Posted: 10 Nov 2020 03:33 AM PST Maybe it's only me but i feel pretty alone when playing it. [link] [comments]
Need help getting an enchanted long sword or how to defeat ghosts at early levels? Posted: 10 Nov 2020 09:15 PM PST I'm trying to do the very first story missions. Currently on a quest from the Mages Guild to go to the tomb with ghost creatures that normal weapons don't effect. The quest giver has granted me use of their enchanted short sort but the probelem is that my short sword level is like 5 and I can't even get a single hit in. I am however proficient in long swords but for the life of me can't find a single enchanted one. Am I just doing something wrong because there is no way this quest can be that difficult and only require one particular profiency. Is there another way that I'm missing? (And yes, I can probably just run through the tomb without fighting and just save every 2 seconds to find the quest item, but I just don't want to play like that). Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Nov 2020 06:18 PM PST Was looking around if there was some simple and easy way to get any type of controller support for vanilla morrowind, for reference i'm on the GOG version and can use a ps4 or a xbox controller [link] [comments]
Should I get Morrowind on Steam or GOG ? Posted: 10 Nov 2020 07:00 AM PST Never played the game before, and I know almost nothing about it (want to go in blind as much as possible). All I know is that it's got a great modding community, and I'm definitely interested in that. I doubt I'll be playing it vanilla after the first ten hours or so. Which version do you think is the most stable for mods, or in general ? EDIT: thank you all for your replies, it seems the way to go is GOG. Can't wait to get my hands on the game [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Nov 2020 04:13 PM PST I have the Dell G5 SE Laptop (It has an AMD 7th Generation 4800H, and an AMD Radeon RX 5600M with 8gbs of ram). Do you have any suggestions on what I should use as mods/bug fixes for Morrowind? I wanted to have a kind of Overhaul experience as the game doesn't seem to have aged very well. (Aside from the music that is absolutely amazing!) I feel it's necessary to mention I have the Steam GOTY edition of the game. [link] [comments] |
