    Ok, so I'm currently replaying this for the first time in years, had a disgustingly OP character back when the game first released and played the shit out of the game and nothing else for a solid year.

    I thought I knew all the ins and outs of Morrowind even after all this time.

    Then, this time around, I got jumped right inside a doorway by a greater bonewalker. I frantically managed to kill it, which I impressed myself with because I was really low level still (yes, absorb health vampire swords still rock just as much as they always did).

    Then I was confused, I couldn't move at all... wtf!?

    A bug? Not sure, this had never happened before even the first time back during the whole year after release, what gives?

    Ah, yeah that'd do it. I had zero strength. ZERO.

    I think I also had zero endurance and personality too. I checked the wiki and was entirely unsurprised when I found that greater bonewalkers have some absolutely retarded damage attribute curses, which he'd clearly hit me with about 50 times or so, fuck.

    What do I do? Zero strength, ffs, I'M WEARING HEAVY ARMOUR. How the hell do you even fix this?!

    I'm not dropping everything and walking out naked, no. I was miles away from anywhere and only had the one set of armour and weapon, plus about 150 gold so I couldn't even buy more after.

    So, I cast Recall which brings me back to Balmora at least, but I have literally no way to fix any of my stats. Ok, mages guild, they'll have potions (I fu&@*ng hope!).

    So I started stripping down in the street while getting heckled and insulted as a reprobate by literally everyone (bastards) and managed to eventually get to the mages guild naked (who were properly horrified, of course) and bought a couple of restore strength potions, I now have 20 whole strength and I'm broke and still can't carry my armour...

    There was next a lengthy and involved process of trying to steal enough cups and plates (too weak and pathetic by far to do anything more risky just then) to afford potions to recover my stats.

    But, during this time a revelation struck me. I'd never used damage attribute in my previous playthroughs at all, and since I'd always rolled a marksman previously, I'd always killed greater bonewalkers from a distance so I had no idea how massively powerful an attack it could be.

    I decided to harness this power.

    I now have a belt which will summon a greater bonewalker on demand, not for his ability to inflict damage, because he doesn't do much, but for his wonderous ability to destroy my enemies strength and endurance stats.

    They try to fight me, they get a bonewalker in the face, they fight him for a while and then they kill him or he disappears. They then find themselves incapable of moving anymore, ever... it's delicious.

    For those enemies with insane amounts of strength, I have a gauntlet enchanted with 5pts of damage strength for 10 seconds, it's disgusting and vile, I love it.

    "What's that, you're OP and have ludicrous strength? Just let me shove my enchanted gauntlet down your throat for a moment while you fend off this bonewalker".

    The gauntlet will destroy 50 strength, the bonewalker can destroy techinically infinite amounts depending on how long it's beating on them...

    God, standing there watching Dremora Lords perma-rooted to the spot is hilarious. There's pretty much no concievable way for anything in this game to do anything to actually repair their stats, they're helpless by that point, and I imagine that they probably know.

    Anyone else still discovering new OP mechanics today that they completely missed previously for whatever reason?

    How much does Morrowind Comes Alive change the game?

    I'm playing Morrowind for the first time, and I was debating using Morrowind Comes Alive. I know it adds more random NPC's to the world, but does it change anything about the vanilla content? I guess what I'm really asking is, does MCA do anything/much with the new NPC's, or are they just there to make the world feel more occupied?

    So this morning, I started play Morrowind and noticed that the resolution was reverted back to 640 x 480 (i usually play 1920 x 1080). I went over to MGE XE gui to change it and it said "Morrowind already running please close it etc." and it definitely was not running, i checked task manager and uninstalled a reinstalled the game along with the mods and the same thing keeps coming up. Help?

    [Spoilers] Is it possible to become Master Thief before killing Sjoring Hard-Heart?

    Talking to Gentleman Jim Stacey, it seems like you must complete the entire quest line to reach the final rank of Master Thief. However, according the UESP, you can apparently cause Hard-Heart to attack you during his quest where he ask you to kill Gentleman Jim Stacey by telling him YOU are the Master Thief. However, I don't see how this is possible if Jim Stacey won't promote you until Hard-Heart is dead.

    First time playing Morrowind

    Can't equip both regular and Jury-Rigged Wraithguard in a modded game. Any suggestions?

    So I've been going through my latest play-through of Morrowind, and I thought I would try Morrowind Rebirth and it's content patch for once, and for the most part it's pretty rad, with only one minor issue.

    Normally after I beat the main quest, I go to Vivec, kill him, and then do the back-path to get the jury-rigged Wraithguard. I like having both Wraithguards, but apparently in this playthrough when I equip one Wraithguard, the other one unequips itself, and vice versa.

    I'm simply asking if there is a specific mod I have installed that is causing this issue, or if there's a way I can modify the scripts of either item to be able to wear both Wraithguards again. It's not an apparent bug or game-breaking problem, but I just find it annoying as I like wearing both gauntlets during my playthrough.

    1st Time Player - Bound Weapon Build?

    First time playing through Morrowind, so please go easy on me. I'd love to make a Conjuration-centered build focusing primarily on Bound weapons for a Battlemage feel, and so could use some help. The only gameplay relevant mods I plan to install are Morrowind Code Patch and Fair Magicka Regen. No plans on using OpenMorrowind, as in a video on the game by Strat-Edgy Productions he mentioned having trouble with mods.

    So what I have in mind for the build is to start with a Breton, not sure about star sign yet. Favored attributes will be Illusion and Agility. For major skills I'm looking at Conjuration, Axe, Marksman, Illusion and Light Armor. For minor skills, Alteration, Mysticism, Block, Enchant and Alchemy. I'm looking to play the build up close and personal most of the time with a bound axe and shield, switching over to a bound bow if I want to hang back and let my summons do most of the work. Light armor to have a bit of protection.

    Any advice is welcome. I've played Daggerfall dozens of times so I have experience with older Bethesda's design choices, but I know Morrowind is a whole different beast

    Does Redoran feel less developed (quest and reward wise) than the other 2 houses

    Looking back I never noticed the disparity in quests and rewards when it comes to Redoran vs the other 2 houses.

    For example telvanni quest basically gives you 2 of the best non legendary heavy armour in the game. Another gives you extremely useful trinkets. Hlaalu mostly giving gold in the 1000s early one while Redoran early on gives only 5 hecklo leaf and 200 gold.

    There is also the strong holds with Telvanni getting what could be argued as the most fleshed out. With dwemer patrols and even a dungeon and to get these you have to dungeon dive into dangerous dwemer ruins. Redoran has you find some wives.

    Does anything think the designers had alot more fun with Telvanni and Hlaalu compared to Redoran?

    Enchanting with Almalexia's Soul

    My character is back in Vvardenfell after completing the Tribunal main quest. She's preparing to start Bloodmoon next. Just made this enchanted item which should be useful and fun in Solstheim.

    Daedric tower shield / cast when used / fire damage 168 pts. in 10 ft. on target

    The 1500 charge gives it 20 uses. I named the shield "Flame Thrower"
