- A little while ago I first started the game. Had no idea how to start, and I came to you guys for advice. And on Morrowind's birthday, I have officially defeated Dagoth Ur for the first time in my life. Here's to many more years of playing Morrowind in my future!

How would /You/ make Skyrim more like Morrowind? Posted: 02 May 2020 09:58 PM PDT So I finally started playing Morrowind and I am already really blown away by the setting and how unique and strange and surreal and alien and fantastical everything is--and thoughtfully to boot! People have already talked to death about this but it really does make the Player curious and intrigued and draws them in because they want to know / understand / see more. I played Skyrim first and I did not really ever have that feeling TBH.... Skyrim does have a nice Nordic Viking barbarian vibe going on which is marginally more unique than a lot of genero Euro fantasy but it does not at all go all the way nor does it even come closing to evoking the same feeling of awe&intrigue as Morrowind's ash wastelands or mushroom towers or living gods. So my question is: If you were in charge, how would you have made Skyrim more Unique and Weird and Alien and Fantastical and Strange in a similar vein to Morrowind? Is it even possible? I got an Ice Atronach's soul captured, what to do with it? Posted: 03 May 2020 02:05 AM PDT Hi, I just managed to beat Ice Atronach and get his soul in a Greater Soul Gem, and I am not sure what to do with it. I know I can sell it to Creeper, but he's gonna give me 5k max which is good, but knowing the Soul Gem is worth 8280 and getting only 5k doesn't seems as good as for example getting 5k from a Scamp worth 6k. So, any ideas what should I do? If there is a trader who can buy it let me know. Or the better option would be to enchant my Daedric Katana, what do you think? Thanks, and have a great day! Do we have any concrete numbers on what the difficulty slider does? Posted: 02 May 2020 02:31 PM PDT I play vanilla Morrowind and have created a handful of "Hardcore" rules for how I play. Permadeath, Max Difficulty Slider, No Cheats or Exploits etc. Last night I was one shot by a Betty Netch, looking up on the wiki it says Betty Netch does 10-30 damage melee, and I had 45 HP and it killed with 1 hit. I keep seeing "It increases damage taken, and decreases damage dealt" in random posts, but in my experience so far, it only increases damage taken and does not affect damage dealth(creatures HP does not go up, spells that do X damage to a creature with X health kills them)I have yet to actually see a concrete value for how much any point of difficulty changes the values in the game. Posted: 02 May 2020 12:01 PM PDT Hey, I'd like to ask what would be the best medium armor for Argonian and where can I get it. I have 19k septims currently. Also, I use the Dark brotherhood set except the helmet(for obvious reasons) and all parts are level 44 just like my light armor skill So, what should I get? Question About Replacer Mods with OpenMW Posted: 02 May 2020 03:47 PM PDT From what I gather, you just have to copy any meshes folder from said mod into the proper area under your OpenMW data files folder, and then add the address of that folder to your cfg file. IE Dat="D:\Program Files\OpenMW 0.45.0\Data Files\Fixes\CorrectUVMudcrabs\Smooth" Click save on the cfg file and then move onto the next once since there are no esp files to check off on the launcher?? I'm new to doing any modding that hasnt been msgo, and I really want to make sure I'm doing this right. [link] [comments] | ||

I've killed the Sleeper in Pelagiad and want to use his home as my base of operations. I'm worried that items that I put in there may end up being marked as stolen or the containers will reset. Tamriel Rebuilt Telvanni Questlines Posted: 02 May 2020 08:25 AM PDT I've played through Rise of House Telvanni and become Archmagister already, then I installed Tamriel Rebuilt. Because I'm already Archmagister I can't do any of the Telvanni quests. Is there a way for me to complete these quests at all? Would resetting my rank via console work? I know I could start a new character but I've already taken this character through Telvanni questlines on the mainland and the Illuminated Order mod which takes bloody ages. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 02 May 2020 06:08 AM PDT Hi guys, I am trying to return on Morrowind but this time on openMW engine +Morrowind Rebirth and Tamriel rebuilt. I installed the game goty edition on my windows 10, installed openMW, ran the wizard, followed the multy directory installation, edited the OpenMW.cfg, added the mods, started the lancher, arranged the load order. I start the game, I see it loading all the mods, but when I make new games, its show up almost unmodded.. There is no change at all, I made a test by using only rebirth, but the only thing I notice is a change of armor from the guards at the dock, the town has no changes, same for the inside of the barrack. Idk what to do, as I am not receiving any error or crash, it's almost like it don't load or the mods are being skip or override by vanilla game. I am tempted to move the mods folders into Morrowind data files and overwrite it like I always used to do in non openMW game. Please if someone know or have hints to make it work I will be very grateful. TLTR: I followed openMW mod installation guide but the game don't have changes. Edit: the game is running as it should be, it was me used to play mgso+Mr+TR not used to see the game without all the fancy stuff. [link] [comments] |
