    A few weeks ago I made a post asking for input/reviews. And it obviously got very high reviews on this reddit. So I got it, and its 100% better than any other ES. I've played Oblivion, Skyrim, and ESO. Morrowind definitely takes the 1st place rein nearly 20 years later... Any in game recommendations would be appreciated also.

    For experienced players, Morrowind can get to be way too easy. If you want to up your game and have a new Morrowind experience that is very challenging, yet fun, fair, rewarding and free of exploits, then this mod is for you. Check out the Before And After video for a preview of the hardcore combat.

    Along with all the hardcore changes, this mod also fixes many exploits and a few bugs. It wouldnt be more challenging if the exploits were still there! Find out all the details on the mod page.

    Also version 1.3 release of my optional compilation file, which updates graphic herbalism to the mwse version that doesnt use scripts and is compatible with Morrowind Rebirth.

    Is OpenMW not very shader-friendly, or its just me?

    I mean, i went to Discord, downloaded 7z relevant to openmw shaders, and it has to do with modifying ini files here and there, adding esm and (optionally?) using exe-tools...

    Literally I have paws

    Not to say i'm overwhelmed by this, but - is it the only way of enabling OpenMW shaders yet, or do you guys have a Magic Button which enables all this?

    I've played Morrowind just fine, unmodded and all but it seems that a problem has arisen; I need to open the game "twice" and directly from the local files and sometimes it won't stop running no matter what I do with the task manager. Is this a common issue that can be fixed? Is it fixed by OpenMW?

    what weapon should i use? two handed or one handed

    im doing a heavy armor warrior nord playthrough (its my only second serious playthrough of the game) and im wondering wether i should use a daedric calymore or an ebony longsword? i have a full set of ebony armor, not limited to the shield.

    on one hand if i use an ebony longsword i can use my shield.

    and on both hands the daedric claymore has far superior damage

    my agilitys pretty shit but block is a major skill of mine, is it worth giving up the extra damage for a shield?

    Always use best attack issue

    for some reason every time i start playing, whether i'm loading a save or starting a new game it turns "always use best attack" and "subtitles" in the options - Prefs menu off? is there a way to make them stay on?

    New player questions about OpenMW and modding in general

    So I'm going to buy morrowind today and have a few questions Is it viable and still fun to play without mods or does it feel extremely dated and annoying? Is it better to play with Open MW rather than the base game? Is it safe and which windows installation is best? If not using OpenMW can I install mods through vortex and do most require Script extender?

    Vampire Hunting mods?

    Okay, so my character has a backstory of being really fetched up by Molag Bal's servants in the past, so now he has it in for anyone with even a slight relation to him. Especially vampires.

    Problem is, after cleaning out the main lairs of Quarra, Berne and Aundae, there really isn't much to do in terms of hunting the undead. Are there any good quest mods that let you go crazy with that?

    So I was on the hill to the north west of Balmora. A rat showed up so I turned around and fired off a few fire balls. Well one of them apparently went all the way into town and hit a guard or a person. Next thing I knew I was getting beat down....

    See fun fact... watch where you point those ranged weapons.

    No option to save?

    Hi everyone I just reinstalled Morrowind game of the year edition on steam and installed the graphic extender and a few other graphics related mods and Puris patch and stuff of that nature when I started a game I have never had the option to save what should I do to fix it? Thanks everyone
