I bought Skyrim for PC a few days ago and so far the best part is that I can play in Solstheim, hearing the music and the background noise of Morrowing again was so nice.

Does a quick save hade the same effect as a regular save? Is it bad if I only quicksave and not regular save?

Easiest way to keep track of your journal entries?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 09:57 PM PST

So, I'm nooby af in Morrowind. I've only played maybe 3 hours total but I really wanna sit down and play the game. What's the easiest way I can keep track of what I'm doing in between sessions?

    Levelling Terrible Skills

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 03:40 PM PST

I've decided to give Morrowind another go after many years. It's already wearing me down, but I want to try sticking it out for a bit. I do have one problem, though. I made a rather mish-mashed character with Stealth speciality and Alchemy and Conjuration in secondary skills. Which means they're at 15 each, making them too terrible to actually use and thus level up. Is there any non-frustrating way to level them up? I guess I could get a cheap conjuration spell and spam it while walking.

Is it just me or are 'pure mages' kind of weak?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 09:26 AM PST

I'm currently playing a Breton with the Apprentice sign for more Magicka and Mage as my class. I still find myself running out of Magicka and the spells are laughably weak with what I can craft in the early game. I have been training with various 1 point spells but I feel like I'm forced to go with Enchantments for casting just about anything.

    Roleplay suggestions and limitations

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 03:33 AM PST

    1) Depending upon age, occupation and date, adjust your sleep pattern accordingly.

    2) If you are away from a settlement, bring with you all you will need to prepare food (fork, knife, spoon, tankard/flask) as well as perhaps a change of clothes.

    3) If you successfully make a potion, enchant a weapon or repair a damaged weapon to full condition, rest or wait after each such action.

    4) If you are religious and in a settlement, visit the local temple/chapel and get some spiritual enlightenment from the faithful.

    5) If you are a daedric worshipper, take pilgrimages to their shrines, live by their codes, and keep their holy days.

    6) After a busy period, treat yourself with a day of rest and/or a favourite drink or activity.

    7) Build intimate relationships with your fellow citizens.

    8) Exercise your character's body and mind - if your mind is underwhelmed, study books or socialise. If it is overwhelmed, take some time in isolation. If your body is underwhelmed, do some training. If it is overwhelmed, take some ingredients and/or potions to restore fatigue.

    9) Carry realistic mounts for your character's strength - limit the armour you carry to one set.

    10) Have day clothes and perhaps night clothes. Also, perhaps smart clothes for special occasions.

    11) Keep a diary of your life.

    Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow01.nif

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 11:37 AM PST

Hello all! I'm trying to install and play Morrowind for the first time in many years. I'm modding it up in accordance with the Morrowind Graphics Guide that is referenced in this subreddit.

When I installed the vanilla game, it ran just fine. It also ran well after applying the Graphics Extender and the Code Patch. However, after I installed the various mesh and texture mods, I'm getting the error " Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow01.nif" when I try to start the game. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

When I googled the issue, I found a post on bethsoft (http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/#entry11345653) that mentioned copying all the meshes and textures from the Tribunal and Bloodmoon CDs to fix it, but I'm thinking that will undo the improvements made by the mods?

I would really like to be able to play this game so I can explore Tamriel Rebuilt, but am at a standstill. HALP!

I should also mention that I installed the game by running the setup .exe's as administrator. I'm using the old Anthology discs that I burned into .iso's and am running them on a virtual drive. This setup runs perfectly for my Oblivion install and I thought it would work well for this.

    Morrowind platforms?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 03:02 PM PST

Anyone know why Bethesda never made a version of Morrowind for Playstation? Seems so strange it's only available on PC & Xbox.

    TY in advance! :)

    A roleplay question.

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 11:18 AM PST

Hi, this is my first morrowind playthrough, and my character is a dunmer with imperial leaning. I joined the fighter guild, legion, and imperial cult, and i want to join house redoran but it seems that redoran is really tight with the temple. So, would it be logical from a roleplaying point of view for someone who is in the imperial cult to belong to house redoran?

Can't loot dead enemies if the body is in a swamp. Is this normal?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 04:32 AM PST

Like, I just killed a scrib that was in a swamp near Seyda-Neen, can't loot it, can't even click on it, it's like the body disappeared. Is this how it's supposed to work?

Though I can see it if I use the 'tcl' command to turn off collision.

Why can't I enchant this Daedric Dagger?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 08:58 AM PST

I'm trying to enchant a Daedric Dagger with 4 seconds of Paralysis via the Enchantment dude in Balmora Mage's guild (of which I am a member). The only issue is that it keeps saying the Dagger does not have enough enchantment space, which is strange because from the value I would assume you could probably stick a good few enchantments on it. The Dagoth Dagger I looted earlier in the game had like 2 enchantments on it, and that was Chitin. I have already enchanted an Ebony Short Sword with Soul Trap without any issue, (it eventually became a pain in the arse as I accidentally filled some nice soul gems with Garbage mobs like Nix Hounds) so am I being dumb? This game can be very confusing...

Just been tinkering with my new overhaul mod, Tamriel Touched Up. Think the rendering is coming along nicely.
