Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:42 PM PST Trying to figure out what's the go-to mod for adding mannequins to the game, for the purposes of displaying armor. Figured I'd reach out to the community. What are your favorites? [link] [comments]

Is There a Good Font Mod for Dyslexic People? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 11:45 AM PST Like, TypeFace is a good font, My biggest trouble with Morrowind is actually reading it, I tried other mods, but it's still a wall of text that eventually gives me a headache. [link] [comments]
At least some of the time the directions sucked. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:30 AM PST I'm not a fan of having to follow written directions. For the record, I have beaten Morrowind once so its not like I didn't eventually figure things out. I can hack it. Though sometimes I had to look up online guides because the in game directions were inadequate. But the directions were frustrating. Its a combination of them sometimes being poorly written and other times the world design not supporting the directions. There's things like trying to find a house when every house in town looks nearly identical. Or when the directions say "turn down the left path here" and as you're walking you'll see a thin discolored strip in the dirt that you're not sure if its supposed to be a path or not (sometimes it is, sometimes its not, I had both experiences) Or "find the rock that looks like" leaving me to guess if they mean this rock that has vague shape or go further along and try to find a rock that's a better match. Or my "favorite" the time when I was told to "go west of town" when it turns out I was really supposed to go to the west side of town which isn't the same thing. And aside from the fact that I couldn't trust the directions, the thing I hated about them is that they discouraged exploration. I know some of you think its the exact opposite, that written directions encourage exploration. Well here's how it works for me. I'm following directions trying desperately not to get lost, I see a side cave that looks interesting. I think "I could explore that cave but I'll lose track of where I am in my directions and have to start over again." So I skip the cave. And woe betide any NPCs along the path that need my help. They're not going to get me to help them and get me lost. In Skyrim, I have a quest marker. So if I saw something that interested me on the way to my next quest objective, I could stop off and explore that thing knowing that the quest marker is there to keep me from losing my place. People talk about "You can truly get lost in Morrowind." I don't understand how this is a good thing. I fucking hate being lost in games. It means I'm not getting anything done. I'm just running around uselessly wasting time doing nothing. I'm not enjoying the flora and fauna, I'm trying like mad to find a familiar landmark to get back on track. The worst part about being lost is that you don't know how long you're going to be lost. It could be for ten seconds or an hour. And that's this game in a nutshell. Too busy trying not to get lost to really enjoy the exploration. I look forward to Skywind which will have quest markers. [link] [comments]
Aren't some quests ridiculous? (Ahnassi) Posted: 03 Nov 2019 01:08 AM PST I mean do the creators expect me to walk all over Morrowind asking everyone how to treat Skooma addiction? considering the number of random dialog options it would be tedious AF. has anyone beaten Morrowind without using the wiki?
