70's concept art for Morrowind man

OK so I knew Roger Dean inspired generations of hippies to role-play among other things, If I was him and played Summerset Isle in ESO I'd sue for a permanent free account and get it, but has anyone else seen fantasy art and said, now I now where that came from, especially for TESIII.

It's definitely not Page/Plant territory, but an influence. Anyway it's my desktop for a while.

[REQUEST] Download location for Westly mods?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 07:50 PM PDT

Some of Westly's mods are absolutely essential. His Golden Saint replacer, Almalexia replacer, and FCOT especially. But it seems that I can't get to them because they're all hosted on Great House Fliggerty, which seems to be down more often than not. Does someone know if he has allowed them to be hosted somewhere else? If not, does anyone have these and would mind shooting me a dropbox/google drive link or something?

A thank you to the modding community.

A thank you to the modding community.

I just wanted to thank the modding community. I recently started my first play through in like 12 years, and thanks to the amazing work of the modding community my Morrowind game has been pulled into the realm of modern game titles. I am running with probably 100 mods on and I love all the little changes options made available by modders. So as an elder scrolls and Morrowind fan, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has ever put out a mod for Morrowind. You have kept this game great.

Imperial males are too wide, can anyone help?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 05:02 PM PDT

Imperial males are set to be (in my opinion) way too wide. It's a relatively easy fix with the construction set, but I don't currently have access to the Morrowind CS and I can't find a mod that does this.

    Can anyone help me out?

Edit: Thanks guys! I'm a s'wit and thought I needed a disk copy for the Morrowind CS. I don't know where I got that idea in my head.

Anyone been having issues launching the Steam version of the game lately?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 09:51 PM PDT

I went to play Morrowind earlier this week for the first time in probably about a year. It used to work fine, but now when I launch the game, nothing happens. Upon trying to relaunch, Steam says the app is already running, even after I kill any associated processes. I have to reboot my computer to even try again.

I did a fresh install, deleting the entire folder including mods and saves, and still encountered the issue. I finally got the launcher itself to appear, and from there changed the settings to windowed mode, launched it, and it worked.

I installed my mods and it played fine for the rest of the day, but upon trying to exit, the game froze. I again had to kill the process, and faced what appears to have been a memory leak, as I was at 90% baseline RAM usage with nothing running.

I rebooted my computer and now I'm back to square one. I launch the game, nothing happens, I try again, Steam says it's already running. Worse yet, the settings haven't changed, so it's not a resolution mismatch as I had previously assumed.

The game is now unplayable for me and I have no idea why. I have no firewall/antivirus settings that should be interfering. Has anyone experienced similar issues recently? Windows 7. I'm not running any crazy mods. Before my reinstall, all I had was MCP, Enchanting Success Redone and Enchantment Multiplier, plus MGE XE to play in 1080p. Post reinstall, I'm using the same mods plus Tamriel Rebuilt and Morrowind Comes Alive.

Xbox shows two copies of morrowind

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:58 PM PDT

It's not really causing any problems for my game saves or Xbox but my Xbox is showing two copies of morrowind. One is 4gb and the other is 1.5gb, both are listed as the base game and are separate downloads and both have their own set of save games. Does anyone know why this is or if it was intended? Will it end up causing problems or is it harmless?

I beat Morrowind but I am conflicted on how I feel and if I want to play again.

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:57 PM PDT

So I just beat Morrowind and I am conflicted on how I feel. It was a great game but I'm not sure if I want to play again... Everyone's always talking about how it is the best Elder Scrolls game and so much better than Skyrim, and I want to have that feeling of a great RPG and have the nostalgia associated with a great RPG but I can't. My problem with it is that it is such a big map, but traveling around it feels like a chore (I always ended up using the boots of blinding speed and levitating) the regions are different but the inside each region felt the same and easy to get lost in, (and there is always a damn mountain in the way of where i have to go!). I have no motivation to explore the caves and tombs because they are basically the same with worthless loot in them. All of the quests feel the same i.e "go to this place and get this thing" or "go kill this guy" I didn't do that many side quest (I did become arch mage however) and I mostly focused on the main quest. I can't really bring myself to do more quests because of the repetition of it. I am not sure about the story, it was hard to follow because of the long waits between each development, and I know this is supposed to be one of the RPG greats but there felt like there was very little RP in the game. I mean sure you can kill anyone but there didn't feel like there was that much dialogue or choice.

Please don't read this and think I am hating on Morrowind, I enjoyed it, but I am not sure I want to play again because of the above problems. Now, even though I say all this I am a big believer in the idea that there is a proper way to play a game and in mods and how they can make a game much better and fix its shortcomings (Skyrim and Fallout 4 much). So what mods if any do you recommend me? Also are there any good videos out there that can help me to enjoy Morrowind more and get me to do a second playthrough? Finally do you have any tips for me? Am I just playing Morrowind wrong and need to be corrected?

    Thank you for any help!

    Absorbing a Reflected Spell

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 05:52 PM PDT

So, the story is, while i was pvping with an evil person that got me from behind in the OpenMW server, i panicked, and throw him my fastcast powerful spell, noticing and remembering that he was (almost) fully set Reflected (not easy to achive in the [NA] server, luckly): the Telvanni Robe, the White helmet (the one from the Ebonheart Imperial Council mission), the Darksunshield and the Wraithguard (since he has the Shield Effect, but tbh i dont remember). And since i'm a mage i was thinking i was pretty screwed up. However right after the first AoE nuke, i noticed that all my Reflected spells got totally absorbed by my Wombburn (thank Vivec since was a fire bomb of 100x4sec fire element, and i'm an HighElf) Is this a vanilla thing ? Is it possible to get a mod that allow Reflected Spells to be fully absorbed if the Sp.Abs activates?

Also i want to know what you all think about such a balanced choice. Because, let's be honest, a 100% Reflect full equipment is much more easy to achive and easy to work effectively. And there was no counter to such mechanic for magelike gameplay. Seeing two fascinating effects take place is so amazing. As a child, i always loved the Reflex buff in all Final Fantasy games, but since i've discovered "recently" Morrowind and Oblivion "Spell absorb" i totally changed my mind.

Act I, Part XIV: Vengeance (The Telvanni Girl) (Morrowind Fan-Fic)

    Act I, Part XIV: Vengeance

By Athyn Sarethi, Brother-in-Law of Miner and Uncle of Nilas and Gandosa

Master Tuls counsels patience and prayer in these trying times, but my heart burns with a fire I haven't felt since the War. He tells me I need to step away from the situation and quiet the storm within, but he wasn't there when Nilas was born—he wasn't the one changing the diapers and holding the Arobar family together after Dralora died. Master Tuls and I have been friends for many years and I can not state enough how much I have appreciated his counsel since he arrived here in Ald'ruhn, but this is one time that I just can't take it. I just don't have the ability to still myself after seeing my nephew like that. I can't. I just can't.

I remember watching this boy grow up and being there for him. I remember the first time he came to me and asked me to teach him how to use a sword and I remember how we practiced every day for hours until I would get too tired to keep at it, but he'd always be pushing me to go a little longer, because he wanted to be Redoran—just like his father and me. He wanted nothing more than that and to see him—like this—I can't. I could barely recognize him when the Watch sent word to me that it was him that they had dragged from beyond the Walls. Looking at him, his lips were cracked from thirst and he had not only lost weight, but his body was covered in bruises and cuts. He's alive though. I thank ALMSIVI for that small miracle. I simply lack the words to convey my infinite gratitude to them for sparing his life despite what he's gone through, but I must pray. I must pray for forgiveness for when I find the monsters who did this—they will pray for death and I—I will do things that no man should ever do to another, but whoever did this to my nephew, they will suffer a thousand-fold what he has. I swear it, on my life and on my honor—they will pay for their crimes.

He couldn't give me much information, but he gave me enough with what little strength he had for conversation.

    "Uncle—there were—too many—of them."

    "Too many of what?"

    "They—they—captured me—tortured me—did things—to me."

    "Who, Nilas? Who?"

    "I—I don't—know."

Those were his last words before he lost consciousness again and I have had the healers tending to him on orders to alert me the moment he wakes up, but he hasn't and right now, that's okay. He needs his rest and I need to be free to coordinate. I've already sent scouts to Marandus to try to see if the Underpriest knows anything and I've spoken to General Serano and told him I want his best men on standby for once I have more information about whoever did this.

To you, whoever did this to my beloved nephew, I pray for you.

I pray that Death finds you before I do.

I pray that you have time to scurry away long enough to kill yourselves before I get my hands on you.

And most of all, I pray that you have made peace with your gods, for when I find you, you will scream their names in hopes they'll kill you—just so that it can stop.

I pray for you, whoever you are, but know that my prayers for your death are the only mercy I will show you and that once I find you—you will learn why so many of Uvirith's mercenaries killed themselves when they realized capture was imminent. You will learn.

Indoril mask without plume or with shorter plume?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 07:34 AM PDT

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a mod that shortens or removes the plume on the Indoril mask, or adds a version of the mask containing these characteristics? I like the mask but the plume is just a bit too big and distracting for me.

    Thanks!

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
