I got a new 144hz 2k 27” monitor and a $1200 computer. Now I can play Morrowind on the 2k graphics that I’m sure it was meant to be played on.

    weapon skills?

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:53 PM PST

Is it possible to use all weapons on my playthrough, or would that make my character too underpowered to even play properly? I've never actually played through morrowind so I don't know about the balance ingame but all the different cool weapon types are tempting me to start playing. I suppose it would but I'd rather just play normally instead of trying different builds if that's possible. Anyone know?

A poem, for the mortal gods.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:16 AM PST

Lord Vivec, the poet, was brought into the world when he experienced it from another angle, from another perspective. He was shown that all must begin, and all must end. He was given omnipresence, to be and not to be. Blessed be his name.

Almalexia, mother of all, carer of all, was brought into the world when she learnt, and perceived, all of the hardships and work that the Dunmeri peoples had to bear. She was shown that she was to bear all of these burdens, and that she must be formidable. She was given omnipotence, to see and not to see. Blessed be her name.

Working god, Sotha Sil, perciever of life, whisperer of dreams, was brought into the world when he showed Azura, and the daedra, that he simply was. He was shown that he was to wear the past like a glove, work on the future like you would with refining a blade, and study that which you cannot perceive. He was given omnicompetence, to do and not to do. Blessed be his name.

And as the Temple remarks, the ALMSIVI protected and nurtured their peoples, be they Mer, or Men. Lord Vivec promising wealth and good fortunes to come upon his people, Mistress Almalexia promising love and compassion to come upon her people, and Warlord Sotha Sil promising knowledge and understanding.

Nay, the ALMSIVI were not to forsake their peoples. They brought and delivered upon these requests, the lands of Vivec becoming rich and fertile, the lands of Mournhold becoming loved and enriched, and the lands of Sotha Sil becoming enchanted and knowledgeable.

Doom did not beseech thy who called themselves blessed by the ALM, SI, or VI. They prospered and began to believe in the redemption of their once proud race. The three good daedra were mighty rulers, keeping promises, seeking audiences, and writing their thoughts within the mighty bind of time.

Oh, mighty ALMSIVI, blessed be their holy names, seek thy who beseech to end your scrupulous rule, and drive out the false allies of Morrowind, for we, your mortal followers, and high priests, love you. Let not the Ruddy Man's short reign of terror worry you, Lord Vivec, let not the slip of Mournhold's loyalty worry you, Mistress Almalexia, and let not the rusted metals of the Clockwork City worry you, Gracious Sotha Sil.

Reborn, are your followers, into grace, into love. You breathe into them the life they desperately wanted, needed. Let Muatra, Hopesfire, and the Clockwork Automatons, guide wars for centuries to come, just as you have, gracious ALMSIVI, blessed be their holy names.

Decomposed, is the last era, for we are born anew. Born into ash, into royalty, let the Dunmeri people worship those who still possess CHIM, as they must. Feel no regret, dear ALMSIVI, blessed be their holy names, for you are supported, and loved. The 36 Sermons tell stories not even the immortal could tell, for you and beyond that.

Elevated, has the Dunmeri race become, for we no longer dwell on the past. We renovate ourselves to the future. We build on what was destroyed. We praise those who symbolise omnipotence, not those written by a pantheon or a prophecy. We love you, dear ALMSIVI, blessed be their holy names, for we revere you.

Reinstated, have the great houses become, under your watchful eye, dubbed 'Redoran', 'Hlaalu', and 'Telvanni'. The Dunmeri peoples live under these 3 houses, and only these 3, for love and for guidance, that only they can provide. Let us stay under your watchful guidance forever, dear ALMSIVI, blessed be their holy names, for we are not ready to be left alone to die.

Let the ending of this world, become AMARANTH.

This might be a stupid question but, for starting Tamriel rebuilt, should I start a new character or continue with my old one?

question about guilds in this game.

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 11:50 AM PST

So I basically never played morrowind before. I heard that in order to advance in the guilds you have to have your skills high enough that are the main skills that guild uses. How does this work and how many skills do you have to have?

Any recommended playthroughs of Morrowind on YouTube that tries to do as much as possible but also as a good guy?

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 07:48 AM PST

Basically the title. I'd like to see a lot of Morrowind, but I can't bring myself to watch playthroughs as an evil or amoral character. Just can't.
