Watching Mandalorian and...some Guars in Molag Amur

So, I've started Morrowind the first time two weeks ago. I only play on the weekends. Here's my thoughts:

Holy crap this game is good.

But first, some background. I was and still am a massive Fallout fan, started with Fallout 4, then New Vegas, and eventually the whole series. Last month I beat my first Elder Scrolls game, Oblivion. It was a blast, I played hours of it, doing Daedric quests, missions for the counts and countesses, the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Fighters Guild, and freelance work. I got lost in the world and loved it. Then I downloaded Morrowind on my Xbox.

I would say, even though I'm only level 7, that this game is up there with Fallout New Vegas as the greatest RPG of all time, and in the greatest games of all time period. The art style and atmosphere is stunning. So many unique designs, interesting places. All of the towns are unique as well, I can already differentiate between Balmora, Seyda Neen, Vivec, Hla Oad, Ebonheart, Gnisis, and more, even though I've barely scratched the surface of the game. Anyway, as alluring as the custom class option was, I decided I knew nothing about the game and that I should pick a predetermined class. I observed them all, and had to decide between Battlemage, Scout, and Monk. I chose Scout (I'm an Imperial, btw. Played Oblivion as a Nord). It had long blade and medium armor as some of the major skills, which I liked. But before I went to Balmoa by Silt Strider like everyone suggested, I tried to do some quests. I gave an annoying dude a ring, and after many, many tries, killed some smugglers in a cave. After spending about an eighth of my money on a trip to Balmora, I wandered around looking for the Ripped dude. I found him, and he told me something that immediately got my interested and invested in the game - he told me to come back with more experience. How cool is that? I went to a fort (and can I just say how cool the Empire is in this game? Their armor, buildings, lore, characters, etc. Freaking sweet) and joined the Imperial Cult. It seemed like a neat faction. And it is pretty cool. And my minor skills overlapped a little bit with what was required to rank up in there. I've become an almoner, and a shrine sergeant, so that's cool. I did a bit of freelance work as well, escorting people and doing miscellaneous work around the Balmora / Vivec region. Eventually, I joined the Fighter's Guild, and I did a few missions for them. I haven't gotten far in the Cult, but I'll get there. I've decided to join the Tribunal Temple as well, just to get the Dunmer to like me a little bit more, that way I can try to get in House Redoran. I'm doing okay on reputation, though. I keep leveling my personality, and I've got a power that makes people like me more. Currently I'm working on finding Vivec's shrines throughout Vvardenfell. I'm planning on joining the Morag Tong, but don't know how, and I've also joined the Thieve's Guild, but haven't done anything. On top of all that, when I got a levitation effect from the shrine in Vivec, I discovered various Daedric Temples while flying and that you can swim the Solsthiem, terrible place I've heard (little joke). But yeah, it seems as if there's tons to do, and I'm excited to get more into it. If anyone has any tips, I'd gladly take them. Thanks for listening to me ramble!

    Early Dagoth Ur concept art?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 08:15 AM PST

    Indeed, it is...

After beating the game, the most fun thing to do is spawning Vivec and Dagoth Ur and forcing them to fight (by the way, notice how much taller Dagoth is)

First attempt at my ambitious mod - crashed my game.

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 12:30 PM PST

After labouring on the dialogue, journal updates and scripts for an hour or so, I crashed my game when clicking a new topic that I had added in. Time for some refreshers and then back into it. Here, I am looking for motivation and funny times when you all have broken your game when trying to mod.

I entered in r/tes3mods and this note. Is impression or Morrowind is becoming popular again? More and more posts about in the Elder Scrolls subreddit
