OpenMW bug: Fullscreen resolutions in Win10 Posted: 09 Jan 2020 04:44 PM PST Heard I should post here, since apparently the OpenMW devs hang out in this subreddit. I've encountered a strange bug when trying to fullscreen in non-native resolutions (i.e. my monitor is 1366x768 and I'm trying to scale down to 1280x720) from the launcher. The game window appears pushed against the bottom left corner of the screen in a small size, but the mouse would highlight menu options as if it were scaled up. The rest of the screenspace is black. Since the buttons are misaligned, navigating the menu is hard. Opening a file, the game still renders in its void-bound mini-window. The mouse cursor is still misaligned. Unfortunately I can't get a screenshot, as PrtSc would capture my desktop for some reason (a clue? or just a feature of PrtSc?) and Snipping Tool would cancel out the fullscreen. Quitting the game and playing again would fix the issue. Trying to set the resolution manually via settings.cfg yielded some interesting results. The launcher would report the correct resolution, but the game would bug out again, the same way. Reloading the cfg file revealed that pressing the play button had reset the resolution to native. Reopening the launcher, it said the same. And the game played correctly in native resolution. However, setting the resolution through the game's menu correctly scales it down immediately. Quitting and opening the launcher shows the scaled down resolution. But reopening the game again bugs it out. And now the resolution in the launcher and cfg file is once again at native. It's quite bizarre. No other game does this. And I haven't found any other reports on it (though I haven't dug deep). Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I just resign myself to changing the resolution manually every time I open the game? [link] [comments]
Anyone up for a Tribunal Temple subreddit? Posted: 09 Jan 2020 03:52 AM PST I was thinking of creating a sub-reddit (as a serious idea this time, as opposed to the former idea of a 'joke' sub-reddit) for everything about the ALMSIVI and the saints - lore, poetry, devotionals, and like. Would anyone be interested in contributing? Edit: Join the Temple at /r/Everything_ALMSIVI! [link] [comments]
